I have been out with Matt and Ben today for the first of 3 days on our advanced scrambling learn to lead course. Today was all about efficiency of movement and we began by ascending the East Face of Tryfan via Bastow Buttress Variant (2/3) and then the North Ridge of Tryfan (1) to its summit. A quick descent to the bottom of main cliff, Glyder Fach saw us head up Dolmen Ridge (3) with the boys taking over the sharp end of the rope for the upper half. We then descended Bristly Ridge (1) to practise movement skills in descent - a superb day out.
