I have been out for the day with Carl who is preparing for his ML assessment. He wanted to focus on steep ground and emergency use of the rope so we headed into Cwm Idwal. I helped Carl with some risk assessment strategies, anchor selection, movement coaching and general top tips. It has been dry and bright and lovely to be back in the Welsh mountains. We are starting to see the Autumnal colours now and the odd whisp of woodsmoke is bringing the promise of winter - roll on the snow and ice!!
